Blogcharm has been closed down.
If you are owed any funds you will be paid. To ensure you get paid please go to http://www.blogcharm.com and submit your email address for validation. Chris. |

Dear Chris,
I am a blogcharm blogger, and had earned for about 30+, but i didnt claim for any payment before. When i just about to claim the earning, blogcharm has closed down and i cant login to my account now. Current in http://www.blogcharm.com/index.php, there is only a place for submitting email address for validation, somehow if i didnt make claim before, blogcharm will not know my email address of my blogcharm account, isnt it? Chris, i actually created my paypal account. So, what can i do now? Thanks... Best regards, Ocean Genie |

I've read from the blogcharm homepage that the site is going to close down on 1 Jan 08. Can we still copy our posts? Or is there a way for us to retrieve our posts? I've posted quite a lot there, and I wish to keep them as my memory. To me, this is much more important than the pay.
Please help if there's a way for us to backup our posts. Thanks a lot!! |

1 - Why did you change all the blogs to a page stating it will close down in 2008, which means everyone linking to those blogs is now basically linking to duplicate content, and adverts?
Why not leave the blogs up, with a message at the top? It would be of benefit to the users, and would not mess up other directories and search engine results. 2 - After referring over 1.5 thousand people to blogexplosion, I am now extremely dubious about referring anyone else, so will be withdrawing any future referalls (months ago, I stopped the main referall source, and only had one in the listing for blogexplosion which I forgot about, but that is going now) - Plus UNTIL this site stops popping up stupid spyware ads all over the place when you try to visit - I dont want to refer people to a site that tries to trick people into installing crap onto their pc, so will also be removing blogexplosions listing from the directory until this site acts in a responsible manner. Its a shame, as this used to be a decent site, a very long time ago.

Thanks for eliminating ALL of my posts. Didn't give me a chance to copy them to another server again. That's a lot of wasted time for a lot of bloggers.

Perhaps you did not read my post, I am seeing what I can do about providing transcripts of a users blogs.
Perhaps via an rss feed. It will take a few days to sort out though. But no-ones posts have been lost. |

If people cannot access their archives, then their posts have effectively been "lost." If you can manage to give them access to their work, then that will be great. Until such a time as that happens, their content has effectively been thrown away.
I almost went with blogcharm when it first came out, and now I'm very glad I didn't, after seeing everything that has happened at BE. Blogspot has managed to keep everything I've written there accessible, even on blogs I've shut down. I know that this isn't your fault, Chris, but it shouldn't have been allowed to get to this point in the first place. All of the blame for that falls upon the piss-poor ownership and management over the past year or so ... |

Thank you for ensuring that I was paid for the claim I made in February of 2007. However, I hadn't made any additional claim after that, because there was a notice that we should refrain from filing additional claims until the issues with our original claim amounts had been resolved. From February of 2007 to the present, I earned an additional $14, but because I didn't claim it, am I going to now lose that? Also, I need to have my original blog that I had on BE reinstated, so I can continue to generate traffic from surfing. That blog was already approved once, so is there any way to expedite its being reapproved (since the Blogcharm blog I was running was not removed due to any fault or violation on my part)? |
